Waiting

Well friends, we're almost packed. We've gotten the surfboards and bike on the car, most of our bags are loaded up. Our mail is forwarded, our summer house-sitters are ready to move in, our itinerary is made, and our hotels are booked. The car has had its fluids topped off, new brake pads put on, and a full shampoo and vacuum. We've said our goodbyes, had dinners with friends, and went to CrashARama. The only thing left to do now, is to wait.

The plan is to start out at 8am tomorrow morning and head straight to New Orleans, LA. We're frontloading our trip with long drives so that we drive the most while we're well rested and periodically slow down. We're meeting up with some friends along the way and hitting a bunch of national parks.

If you're expecting this blog to be filled with super deep wisdom from our cross-country roadtrip, then I am afraid we will disappoint. The majority of our posts will be pictures accompanied by random thoughts from the road. Anyway, I hope you enjoy!
